Changes in studies to remote learning

Since 11 March 2020, no courses/exams with student attendance are allowed to take place at the University of Vienna.

All courses at the Language Center of the University of Vienna are being held in the format of distance learning
Here you can find futher information regarding distance learning.

Extraordinary language exams are cancelled.

Information on German Trimester Courses

New course dates: 20.04 - 26.06.2020

  • Registration for continuing students:
    starts on March 13, 2020: Schedule for all courses (login to register)
  • Registration for new customers

    • beginners with no previous knowledge of German:
      online registration for A1/1 courses
    • with previous knowledge of German:
      online registration for courses without a specific level

      All registered students are going to receive further information regarding online placement tests via e-mail.

This course is going to be shifted to a virtual classroom environment for the time being if the current measurements concerning COVID-19 have to be maintained. 


The Language Center of the University of Vienna is about to offer solely online language courses:

- Private Instruction online - registration available!

- German: Online Trimester Course 20.04.2020 - 26.06.2020

- Quick 18/16 - foreign languages online: 18 units in English, French, Italian, Polish and Spanish

The courses are going to be conducted online for the duration of the course. Your physical presence will not be necessary at any point.
