Special Course French Refresher B1

Target group/prior knowledge:

For participants who have already completed level B1 and would like to repeat, deepen and expand their knowledge in order to use the language more confidently and actively in their private and professional lives. After completing the course, participants will be very well prepared to continue learning their target language in a B2 Phase 1 course. This course is also recommended for ERASMUS outgoing students who want to improve their language skills before going abroad. It provides support in mastering the language required for studying and everyday life in the host country.

Contents:

You will improve your listening and reading comprehension using authentic texts. You will have conversations about travel, work, studies and current social issues. You will also learn how to write coherent texts such as letters or articles in a clear and structured manner.
Additionally, you will expand your grammar and vocabulary in a targeted manner. You will explore cultural and social issues and apply what you have learned in practical exercises, discussions and presentations.

Methods:

The content is reinforced through discussions, partner work and presentations. You will apply what you have learned in a practical way, actively incorporating your personal interests.

At the end of the course, participants can receive a graded certificate subject to a minimum of 75% course attendance and passing grades in all four language skills (listening, reading, speaking and writing). The ultimate decision regarding recognition (or non-recognition) of ECTS points (credits) lies with your university’s or institutes’ Study Program Administration [Studienprogrammleitung].
