Special Course Italian Refresher A2

Target group/prior knowledge:

For learners with basic knowledge (A2 completed) who want to practise and consolidate everyday communication. After completing the course, participants will be very well prepared to continue learning their target language in a B1 Phase 1 course.

Contents:

In this course, you will review and expand your basic vocabulary and grammar. You will learn to hold simple conversations on topics such as family, leisure, shopping and travel. You will also read and write short texts, such as messages and simple emails. In addition, you will gain an initial insight into the culture and everyday life of the respective language region.

Methods:

The lessons are interactive: you will actively use the language in partner and group exercises, role plays and discussions. Listening exercises with authentic materials support comprehension training, and grammar is practised in a targeted manner as part of communicative tasks.

In the A1 and A2 level courses, lessons are mainly conducted in German. Participants with no knowledge of German can also receive grammar explanations in English on request.

At the end of the course, participants can receive a graded certificate subject to a minimum of 75% course attendance and passing grades in all four language skills (listening, reading, speaking and writing). The ultimate decision regarding recognition (or non-recognition) of ECTS points (credits) lies with your university’s or institutes’ Study Program Administration [Studienprogrammleitung].
