Spezialkurs Using AI and Translation Tools for Academic English B2-C1

Do you find yourself writing more and more academic texts in English? Would you like to know what to focus on when translating and/or proofreading your own writing? Do you often ask yourself where can I find useful AI and translation tools, and how can I be sure that the results are accurate? This workshop is designed to introduce you to different AI and translation tools and to discuss the strengths and weaknesses of each tool. The workshop will also show you how to tackle different translation and/or proofreading problems, and where to look for help. Participants are encouraged to bring practical examples from their own work. The goal is to become confident in translating and/or proofreading academic texts and thus make the participants feel more comfortable in an increasing international environment.

At the end of the course, participants can receive a graded certificate subject to a minimum of 75% course attendance and passing grades in all four language skills (listening, reading, speaking and writing). The ultimate decision regarding recognition (or non-recognition) of ECTS points (credits) lies with your university’s or institutes’ Study Program Administration [Studienprogrammleitung].
