Where I'm from: I was born in a small town called Southport on the coast of the Irish sea in North West England, however I moved around the UK a lot due to my father’s job.

Education: CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults), BA (HONS) Marketing & Business. Currently studying a Diploma in User-Experience Design for Education at the University of Glasgow, Scotland.
Career: I have had a career teaching English spanning 15 years. I have worked in the UK, Slovakia and now Austria. I initially began working in London in the Marketing industry before realising that my true calling was in teaching and education. After two years in London (2004-2006) I relocated to Slovakia and taught both general and business English at the British Council in Bratislava. It was here that I also prepared students for the IELTS exam and taught in-company classes to business directors and personnel in large organisations such as Dell, IBM and Lenovo. In 2016 I began to work as an external lecturer for Business English at FH Burgenland and since then have taken on external lecturing positions at the FH Wien der WKV and FH St. Pölten in addition to working at the University of Vienna - Centre for Languages.
My slogan for teaching/learning: Don’t be afraid to make mistakes, it’s only from making mistakes that we truly learn how to grow and develop.

Career:  I have been teaching English in the USA, Slovakia and Austria for about 15 years now and I really enjoy it!  About half of that time I've worked at the Sprachenzentrum of the University of Vienna and I believe it is here that I have gained the most valuable teaching experience.  Thanks to my students for making it so rewarding and unforgettable!
My slogan for teaching/learning: Sharing knowledge is a reciprocal process.  It's not only that students learn something from their teacher - it's that the teacher should learn something from students.  A good teacher is the one who never stops learning!
