Registration for VWU students
"I want to take the next course also at the Sprachenzentrum!"
The Sprachenzentrum prepares students for the supplementary examination in German (Ergänzungsprüfung Deutsch – EPD). Correct and complex language proficiency is needed to pass this exam. The course levels FG or WF focus on these aspects.
Nevertheless, the level you will attend will be determined by last semester’s placement result.
Step 1 - Register for the course
Please book an online appointment for your personal registration at the Sprachenzentrum:
Bring the course fee and the following documents with you:
- Confirmation of the online appointment
- Admission letter of the university
- Student record sheet ('Studienblatt') of the current semester (summer semester)
- Student-ID
- Course fee EUR 1,250
The course fee is EUR 1,223,- for the course and EUR 27 for additional material. We accept cash, debit card (Maestro), credit card (VISA, Mastercard).
You do not need to go to the admission’s office at your university; the continuation of your studies will be forwarded automatically to VWU in Sechshauser Straße and your university.
Step 2 - Pay the Students' Union Fee (ÖH-Beitrag)
The student union fee is EUR 20.20.
Please pay the amount before the course starts! Without payment you will NOT be registered at your university for the next semester and you will not receive your student record sheet or other official documents (i.e. insurance confirmations or MA 35 documents).
Step 3 - We will e-mail you your course details
We will send an e-mail with your course details approximately 3 days before the course starts.

Important deadlines and terms of cancellation
Deadlines for the winter semester 2020 (for continuing students):
Registration date: 21.08. – 20.09.2020 (appointments available as of 07.08.2020)
Course details by e-mail: 28.09.2020
Placement Test Schedule (registration is mandatory):
- Placement test for offline courses: 27.8., 3.9., 10.9., 21.9.
- Placement test for online courses: 10.9., 21.9.
Cancellation:
Cancelling the VWU German course is only possible with a certificate of exmatriculation or an admission as a degree programme student until 16.09.2020. There will be no refunds after this date. Please bring the relevant confirmation of the university and a confirmation of the health insurance (ÖGK - Österreichische Gesundheitskasse - former WGKK).
