With the one-to-one language training, we offer a customized language-training program tailored to your personal goals.
Your private language instructor will guide you live through the face-to-face lesson.
We offer online and offline individual instruction in German and 37 other languages. If you are interested, please save this form on your device and send the completed form as an attachment to sprachenzentrum@univie.ac.at (Subject: Inquiry individual instruction).
If you are interested in on-site training, we will be happy to send you the price upon request.
Unfortunately, we cannot provide quotes for individual tuition for AMS or waff.

Technical requirements for online instruction
Stable internet connection (10 MBit/s Download, 5 MBit/s Upload, check your connection here: https://www.speedtest.net),
microphone + speakers / headphones and a webcam.
Nowadays, computers usually come with a camera, microphone and speakers.
You can certainly also use a smartphone or tablet in order to join our lessons.
For courses focusing on writing skills, we recommend using a device with a keyboard.
Appointment cancellation - up to 24h in advance
If you have made appointments for individual lessons with a trainer, we ask you to cancel the appointment in good time if you are unable to attend: Appointment cancellations are accepted up to 24 hours in advance!
Please send your written cancellation to you teacher and sprachenzentrumsymbolunivie.acpunktat (in cc).
Appointments that are not canceled up to 24 hours in advance will be charged in any case. Even if they do not take place!
In addition to its extensive range of courses, the Language Center of the University of Vienna also offers examinations. Within the framework of German courses, learners can take the ÖSD examination (Austrian Language Certificate ÖSD – Österreichisches Sprachdiplom Deutsch – levels A1 to C2).
As part of the foreign language services offered, clients can choose between the following examinations: language competency examinations (e.g. for Erasmus) and the university entrance qualification examination for English.
Additionally, the Language Center offers preparatory courses for the Latin Supplementary Examination at the University of Vienna and the IELTS exam in English (International English Language Testing System). While the Language Center organises these preparation courses, the examinations are not part of the course.
German
ÖSD-EXAMS
Austrian Language Certificate ÖSD [österreichisches Sprachdiplom Deutsch] examinations can be taken at the Language Center four times a year (in November, January, April and July). If necessary, further dates will be offered. Registration for the ÖSD examination can be carried out directly through our website (minimum age: 16).

Preparation for the Latin Supplementary Exam
If you would like to study at the University of Vienna and you did not learn Latin (sufficiently) at school, you may have to take the Latin Supplementary Exam.
With the help of our Latin Course you can prepare for the exam quickly and efficiently.
N.B.: At the moment, information on this course is only available in German.
Preparation Courses for English: IELTS
If you want to study or work in an international environment or abroad, evidence of excellent English skills is often required.
The Language Center of the University of Vienna offers a preparation course for the IELTS exam. IELTS stands for International English Language Testing.
