Where I come from: I come from Poland and have had the privilege of living and working in exciting cities such as Poznań, Potsdam, Hamburg, Rotterdam and Tunis. My academic journey began at Adam Mickiewicz University and took me through many European and international metropolises until I finally arrived at the University of Vienna. These colourful experiences in different cultures have not only sharpened my intercultural competence, but also made me a cosmopolitan and adaptable teacher ready for any challenge.
My language skills: Polish is my mother tongue, but I also speak English at C1/C2 level and use it regularly as a language of instruction. I speak German at B2 level and I also have a basic knowledge of Persian - which shows that I thrive on communication across borders!
My educational background: With a Master's degree in Polish Philology and specialisations in Film Studies, Television and Media Culture as well as a PhD in Cultural Studies, I am well educated. In addition, I have completed postgraduate studies in Polish culture and Polish as a foreign language and am a proud certified teacher. Education is not just a profession for me, it's a passion!
My professional career: I have been sharing my passion for film, media and cultural studies with students as a lecturer since 2017. My teaching career has taken me from the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań to the University of Vienna, where I currently work as a lecturer.
My teaching motto: My teaching motto is: ‘Learning should inspire and excite!’ I use interactive methods and a variety of exciting materials, from films and songs to YouTube videos, to make the learning process lively and captivating.
