Where I come from: I am Austrian, born in Vienna and grew up in Lower Austria. However, I have been living in Vienna again for over 20 years.
My language skills: Besides German and English, I speak Slovak and Russian. In between I also learned a little Hungarian and am now working on my Croatian.
My education: Commercial College (with Russian!), then studies of Slavonic Studies in Graz and Vienna. Somehow never finished - hopefully I will!
My professional career: Member of the army since 1991. Since 1996 I have been working at the National Defense Academy, mainly as a chief teaching officer, interpreter and translator for Slovak. In addition, other tasks such as currently project officer for the digitized language system, deputy head of the department of West Slavic languages and DAF teacher.
My teaching motto: Everything is easier with the right motivation!
