Registration periods for the winter semester 2025/26 (copy 1)

The registration for the VWU German course for winter semester 2025/26 is closed!

Exception: Students from the language center who took the EPD in September and failed the test can register by Friday, 12.09.2025, at the latest!
 

1. Mandatory online pre-registration (submission of documents):

Step 1: VWU online pre-registration

Upload here your current student record sheet (winter semester 2025/26). You can find the student record sheet in the student portal of your university, e.g. u:space at the University of Vienna or TISS at TU Wien.

If the documents are complete, you will receive an e-mail with the link to the registration/payment one to two days later.

ONLINE PRE-REGISTRATION

Step 2 – Registration and payment for the course

You will receive an e-mail with the information for the registration and payment. Log in to our website. Then go back to the e-mail and click on the link sent to you. Register for the next semester and pay for the course (Visa, Mastercard).

Step 3 - Pay the Students' Union Fee (ÖH-Beitrag)

The student union fee is EUR 25.20.

Please pay the amount before the course starts! Without payment you will NOT be registered at your university for the next semester and you will not receive your student record sheet or other official documents (i.e. insurance confirmations or MA 35 documents).

Step 4 - We will e-mail you your course details

On 20.02.2026 we will send you an e-mail with the following course details:

  • Course time
  • Course location
  • Teacher
  • Course books

The course books are availabe at facultas in der Universitätsstraße.

Step 5 – We wish you a pleasant and successful course!

Your course will start on 24.02.2026.

Cancellation conditions for the summer semester

Deregistering from the VWU German course at the language center and reimbursement of the course fee is only possible if you provide us within the cancellation period with a confirmation from the university (e.g. student record sheet, confirmation of study periods, confirmation of withdrawal or similar) which shows that you are not enrolled in the University preparation programme (VWU) in the current semester.

 

Furthermore, course fees will be refunded within the cancellation period to students who pass the EPD in January and are able to transfer to the regular program, as well as to students who have registered for additional subjects and are able to transfer to the VWU based on their Onset results.

 

The cancellation period for the summer semester 2026 ends on 10.02.2026.
