Students with additional subjects who are currently attending level AV
For students with additional subjects who are attending the current VWU German course at the Language Center, these registration periods apply:
If your course result in the winter semester 2024/2025 is AV or EV, register directly at the Language Center:
Your teacher will inform you of your placement result on 24.01.2025.
Online pre-registration and online registration/payment at the Language Center: 24.01.2025 – 31.01.2025

If you register/pay after the 31.01.2025, there is no guarantee of a place!
If your course result in the winter semester 2024/2025 is FG or WF, the VWU will invite you for a transition test using onSET on 28.01. (there is no alternative date!). The VWU will inform you on 31.01.2025 whether you will receive a funded course place at the VWU on Sechshauser Straße. If you do not receive a funded course place, register directly at the Language Center:

Students with additional subjects who are currently attending level EV
For students with additional subjects who are attending the current VWU German course at the Language Center and taking the transition test at VWU, these registration periods apply:
The VWU will inform you on 21.01.2025 whether you will receive a funded course place at the VWU on Sechshauser Straße. If you do not receive a funded course place, register directly at the Language Center:

Step 1: VWU online pre-registration
Upload here your current student record sheet (winter semester 2024). You can find the student record sheet in the student portal of your university, e.g. u:space at the University of Vienna or TISS at TU Wien.
If the documents are complete, you will receive an e-mail with the link to the registration/payment one to two days later .
Step 2 – Registration and payment for the course
You will receive an e-mail with the information for the registration and payment. Log in to our website. Then go back to the e-mail and click on the link sent to you. Register for the next semester and pay for the course (€ 1,565; Visa, Mastercard).
Step 3 - Pay the Students' Union Fee (ÖH-Beitrag)
The student union fee is EUR 24.70.
Please pay the amount before the course starts! Without payment you will NOT be registered at your university for the next semester and you will not receive your student record sheet or other official documents (i.e. insurance confirmations or MA 35 documents).
Step 4 - We will e-mail you your course details
On 21.02.2025 we will send you an e-mail with the following course details:
- Course time
- Course location
- Teacher
- Course books
The course books are availabe at facultas am Campus.
Step 5 – We wish you a pleasant and successful course!
Your course will start on 25.02.2025.
Terms of cancellation
Deregistering from the VWU German course at the language center and reimbursement of the course fee is only possible if you provide us within the cancellation period with a confirmation from the university (e.g. student record sheet, confirmation of study periods, confirmation of withdrawal or similar) which shows that you are not enrolled in the University preparation programme (VWU) in the current semester.
The cancellation period for the summer semester 2025 ends on 11.02.2025.
